The search is still on for gay icons and straight allies of 2015 but get your nominations in quick as voting closes on February 1st.

The LGBT Media Awards are designed to showcase individuals and organisations who have demonstrated an outstanding commitment to the LGBT community. The ceremony recognisest those who go the extra mile to ensure equality of opportunity and fair treatment for all, regardless of sexuality or gender.

This years red carpet extravaganza takes place on 24 April 2015, at London’s five-star Landmark Hotel and will be hosted by Coronation Street star Charlie Condou and actress Sophie Ward.

A total of fifteen awards will be presented, including Celebrity of the Year, Straight Ally of the Year, Inspirational Role Model, Sports Person, Rising Star, Lifetime Achievement, Marketing Campaign, Event, Destination and LGBT Network Group of the Year.

Organizers Square Peg Media, Britain’s biggest diversity and inclusion events company, will produce a shortlist based on the nominations. They have already seen a record number of people take part.
